Why Soundwave Speech Therapy?
We specialize in neuro rehabilitation for adults and adolescents to help you regain independence and return to the activities that are important to you. Online or in-home therapy allows you to participate in treatment sessions in the comfort of your home. We provide person-centered therapy that is customized to be meaningful and functional for each client. We have immediate openings so you can begin investing in your recovery today.
Do I need a doctor’s order or referral to begin services?
A physician's order is not required to provide services if you are a private pay client. For clients with Medicare Part B, we will send your physician a plan of care to sign. We feel it is important to work as a team with your current healthcare providers.
Do you take insurance?
Soundwave Speech Therapy is a Medicare Part B provider. We are considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance types. We can provide a Superbill upon request that can be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Speech therapy services are eligible expenses for Health Spending Accounts (HSAs) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
What are the benefits of private pay speech therapy?
We can provide the therapy you or your loved one needs without having to wait for referrals, pre-authorization, or insurance approvals. The number of sessions is not dictated by the insurance company, so you can get started right away with no limitations to the duration or frequency of your therapy.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is via our HIPAA-compliant payment platform, IvyPay. We will send a secure text via IvyPay with a link where you will upload a payment card that will stay on file and be charged after each therapy session. We also accept check for in-home therapy services.
Where are services offered?
We offer services in-home or online via teletherapy. We use a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform for all online services.
Is teletherapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Research has shown that online speech therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. We are able to use the same treatment methods and strategies in most situations, regardless of where therapy services take place. Teletherapy reduces barriers and limitations that can prevent clients from receiving the services they need. Benefits of teletherapy include convenient and accessible services in the comfort of your home, no commute time or transportation costs, fewer cancellations, and increased flexibility with appointment times.
What equipment will I need for teletherapy?
You will need the following to participate in teletherapy sessions:
